June 23, 2006 - Motorcycle Madness

I had a ridiculously crazy week, between work and finishing up things for the Otakon publications department. To make up for missing a couple days of Musings, I'll finish off with some more photos from the Bellefonte car show last weekend.

I'll start off with some cute toy motorcycles, powered by lawn mower engines. I'm not certain how old they are, but I bet they date to about the 1950s.

Then there's this motorcycle, which we thought looked a lot like the bike that Fonzi rode on Happy Days.

There were also a lot of tricked out new motorcycles, with all sorts of snazzy features.

I really liked this patriotic bike, which reminded me of the movie Easy Rider.

We were all astounded by this super low rider, which must be on some sort of a hydraulic system that allows it to rise higher for safe driving. I'm pretty sure it's a work in progress.

Dad, who's an osteopath, was fascinated by this old ambulance from the '60s. He told us that he'd ridden in a similar ambulance during his days as a medical intern.
