November 25, 2003 - Things I'm Thankful For

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, here are some things I'm thankful for, in no particular order.
  • Being healthy.
  • The Gryphon.
  • My dog, Una.
  • My family.
  • My friends.
  • My new car, Moondance.
  • Having a decent job.
  • Never having stayed overnight at Neverland Ranch.
  • Music, especially Bowie, Bjork and The Beatles.
  • The fact that I no longer work at the Museum from Hell.
  • Chocolate, all varieties.
  • The fact that I had nothing to do with the picture on this page.
  • Beautiful fall leaves.
  • Bright sunny days, even if they're chilly.
  • Living in America, where the worst thing they do to political dissenters is call them liberals.
  • Once again being able to fit clothes I wore in college.
  • The fact that dogs don't have opposable thumbs (imagine the mischief).
  • Not living in a military dictatorship, like Iraq.
  • The fact that I'm not a fan of any Philadelphia team, given their recent records.
  • Mental health and healing.
  • The fact that I'm not Michael Jackson's lawyer.
  • Songs that make you want to sing along.
  • The fact that my dog has only one day left of the antibiotics which give her the runs.
  • Sharing old times with old friends, meeting new ones.
  • The fact that I'm not in high school anymore.
  • Happy dreams.
  • The fact that I have a family that likes to sit around and tell stories, even if sometimes the stories are embarrassing.
  • Creativity, inspiration and talent (my own and that of others).
  • The many blessings, big and small of this world (that ought to cover it).

Moral:
Take time to count your blessings, unless there's too many to count.
