February 27, 2004 - Philly Photo Fun

This morning I spent my creative energies planning out the rest of my novel, which I expect to be able to finish this spring.

Instead of a written musing, I'll share some photos taken in downtown Philly.

LaToya Shop? (Click to enlarge)

This shop, I imagine, is where LaToya Jackson buys her clothes when she's in town.

The post office in Center City Philadelphia has some intriguing murals,
such as this one I call "Cowboy Mailbox." Nice chaps.
Thank goodness there's a box there, so he doesn't have to step on the cacti.

Fortunately, there's only one letter in this old-fashioned mailbox,
or this postal carrier would have trouble, since he forgot to bring his bag.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that package will fit in the mailbox.

Not rain nor snow nor invisible dog leash will keep these workers from their rounds.

And finally, some sage advice from the Lights of Liberty
attraction, courtesy of Ben Franklin. He knew how to party.

Moral:
It's easy to amuse yourself with a camera and a sense of humor.
