October 6, 2009 - Camera-Phone Photos

I often take photos with my camera phone of things I see while out and about. Sometimes, I post them on Twitter, but I often forget to share them in my regular blog. Here are a few recent ones.

Caution Danger (Click to enlarge)

(Faster-loading version)

Somebody apparently broke the metal doors that cover a basement entrance for a shop in my neighborhood. Considering I've always had a fear of walking across these things, seeing the spray-painted words "Caution Danger" doesn't help!

Bright Rose (Click to enlarge)

(Faster-loading version)

It took me several tries to get this beautiful shot of a bright red rose on a background of overexposed sky and greenery.

Earth Mother (Click to enlarge)

(Faster-loading version)

This appears on the front of the Independence Visitor's Center. The quote reads, "The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it. You might as well expect the rivers to run backwards as that any man who was born... free... should be contented when... denied liberty... Chief Joseph"

Garden Scarecrow (Click to enlarge)

(Faster-loading version)

My neighbors have begun to decorate for Halloween. This faded scarecrow appeared in a potted plant.

Una Smiling (Click to enlarge)

(Faster-loading version)

This was taken while we were on a walk, which explains why Una was so happy. My caption on this for Twitter: "Religion is the smile on a dog."

Moral:
It's great to have a camera with me all the time.
