So we
went back to the house and I put the four purple boots on Una's feet,
talking happily as I did so, to put her at ease over this strange practice.
Just out of silliness, I called her Bootsie.
When we
got outside, she couldn't figure out how to walk at first. She walked
gingerly, as if she didn't trust her feet. But it didn't take her long
to figure it out, and soon she was ready to go.
She
was very excited, since she loves the snow. And now, due to the strange
devices on her feet, she was able to walk through it without getting
cold feet!
Several
times throughout the walk, I attempted to take a good picture of her,
but she was so excited it became a challenging task. She looked anywhere,
it seemed, but at the camera.
Finally,
near the end of the walk, I got her to do what I wanted. Or, nearly.
While
I'm at it, I figured I'd share another before and after picture from
my Reorganization Project in my apartment. I worked on my bathroom,
buying stackable drawers for storage and opting for coordinated colors
in my decorative touches.
Here
are a couple pictures to provide more of an overall sense of the bathroom
colors.
When
The Gryphon saw it, he said, "Wow, it looks like something out
of a design magazine." Although I knew that was a bit of an exaggeration,
I did feel proud of how I've turned that space around.
From
doggie snow boots to bathroom redecorating, slowly making the world
around me better.
